These two had their spring wedding all planned with reservations made for the ceremony to be held at a lovely wooded resort in Big Sur, then Mother Nature reminded us all how unpredictable the weather can be in that area at that time of year. Less than 48 hours before the big day, they got a call from the resort saying the grounds were too soaked due to heavy rain and they wouldn’t be able to accommodate their wedding. Panic set it as the bride and groom to be frantically searched for a location in the area that was available for their modest nuptials. With less than 24 hours before the their vows were to be spoken, they found an historic building in Monterey available and within budget. It was a very special ceremony and the reception afterward served double duty as a celebration of their union and a big sigh of relief that it all came together. I’m glad I got to capture the day for them to remember forever.
