Deena, owner of Simply Sweet Supplies in Newnan, Georgia, needed a logo that conveyed her fun personality and the festive nature of her store. Simply Sweet Supplies sells every kind of baking supply one might need to prepare that perfect dessert. They also have a rental department for those instances where owning a specialty item may not be necessary, but borrowing it for the evening is the perfect solution.

Deena mentioned that she wanted an olde-tyme parlor sign feel to the logo with a contemporary feel to the lettering and color scheme. I illustrated a smiling chef with a bit of her tongue sticking out as if to say, “Yummy!” and I chose to do a hand lettering to emulate a wrought iron sign on a background of bold pastel stripes to invoke the mood of a confectionery shoppe.
