Sally Kellerman CD

I was excited to get the chance to work with Sally Kellerman—the original “Hot Lips” Houlihan—on the packaging for her new CD, Sally! Ms. Kellerman is a Hollywood legend (check her out in Back to School with Rodney Dangerfield if you don’t believe me), so I wanted to create a look as timeless and classy as the lady herself. Her label provided the images and asked me to build them into a package that was soft and airy…which made me think of Sally’s incredible voice. I chose to go with a lot of white space and muted blue tones to play off the images Sally wanted to use. A sample of Sally’s handwritten name for the cover and we were off to press.
